What we do



Chief Executive Officer

Brendan is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of MKS2. Prior to the launch, Brendan served as Chief Operating Officer and first employee to Halfaker and Associates, a Cyber Security, Data Analytics, and Software Engineering start-up. Brendan helped the firm grow from one-person to over $12M in products and services with a staff of over 107 employees in less than 3 years.

After graduating from West Point, Brendan served in the US Army for 5 years as a Combat Engineer Officer. He was stationed in Washington, DC serving the President and Vice President as 2nd in command of an Urban Search and Rescue company assigned to the White House and Naval Observatory. Additionally, Brendan was stationed overseas in the Republic of Korea as a Platoon Leader and later deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom as a Military Transition Team member (MiTT), where he earned the Combat Action Badge in 2006.

During his time of service, Brendan volunteered and attended U.S. Army Ranger School but did not graduate, however, he graduated from U.S. Army Airborne School, U.S. Army Air Assault, the U.S. Army Weapons of Mass Destruction Incident Response Course, and U.S. Army Emergency Management Incident Command School.

Brendan holds an MBA from the University of Notre Dame's Mendoza School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point. Brendan was a 4-year member of the Army Football team and 2-year letterman winner.

An Ironman triathlon finisher and marathoner, Brendan currently burns stress with CrossFit, finds Zen with Bikram, and most importantly, he makes excellent ice cream sandwiches for his three awesome daughters. Brendan and his wife, Suzanne, and their family reside in Austin, Texas.


Vice President of Operations

Steven Hall is a native of Petersburg, Virginia and a highly decorated US Army Veteran with 23 years of service and four overseas tours. During his military career, he served in several challenging leadership positions to include, Platoon Sergeant, Senior Drill Sergeant, First Sergeant, Senior Military Instructor at Saint Augustine's College, Chief Army Instructor for the Department of Defense Firefighting Academy, and Battalion Command Sergeant Major.

Currently serving as the Vice President of Operations for MKS2, Steven is responsible for the day-to-day activities of the company's operations, executing current obligations and achieving continued growth. He graduated with honors from Excelsior College and holds a Master's in Business Administration and a Bachelor's in Business Management.

Steven resides in Colorado and works out of the company's Colorado Springs office. He has two sons and two daughters.


Vice President of Strategy & Growth

As the Director of Strategy for MKS2, Angela helps drive the overall business and growth strategy for the firm. Angela is passionate about helping businesses succeed and is proud to be a part of the team that drives MKS2 to achieve a higher level of excellence each day. Before joining the MKS2 team, Angela served as the Director of Strategy and Business Development for an organizational development consulting firm based in Chicago, IL. Prior to focusing her career on strategy and growth, Angela served as the Chief Operating Officer for the sixth largest independent restaurant group in the United States. She was responsible for leading a cross-functional team of 38 managers and 250 employees from all over the world. In addition to driving the organization through a decade of double-digit annual revenue growth, Angela also achieved the highest sustainable margins in the organization’s twenty-year history.

Angela holds a MBA from the University of Notre Dame's Mendoza School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management from Purdue University.

A certified sommelier and classically trained Chef, Angela spends most of her free time cooking for family and friends, enjoying the incredible restaurant scene in Portland, and traveling all over the world. Angela and her husband, Jeff, reside in Maine with their three children.


Director of People

Regina’s passion for helping people can be traced back to her pre-profession days. Whether it was making sure her 6 siblings were happy or leading a team of childcare providers, her path at a young age was always human happiness. The reason she has taken the “people” path is she enjoys taking care of the needs of others and making sure they are happy and feel a part of something big. Right now, that is MKS2 Technologies.

Previously, Regina worked as an Executive Assistant, Recruiter and Marketing Manager for MassMutual. She brings with her many years of experience supporting Business Owners, Executive Officers and Sales Managers to improve internal operations.

Outside of the office , she is committed to living life to the fullest whether she is spending time with her 2 children and grandson in Colorado or playing in the Arizona desert with her husband. Regina is a native of Iowa and currently resides in Scottsdale, Arizona with her husband Jeff.


Director of Growth

Brandon is a former Federal Government employee, serving as a warranted Contracting Officer with the Department of Veterans Affairs at the Technology Acquisition Center in New Jersey and prior, as a contracting professional for the Army at Fort Monmouth. As Director of Growth for MKS2, Brandon contributes to the company’s goal of being a trusted partner to the Government through customer-focused service and by providing innovative solutions that align with the business vision of the clients we support.

Brandon holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Business Administration from Campbell University.

Brandon resides in Metuchen NJ with his wife Heather and two kids, Vanessa and Alexa. When he’s not spending time with the family or walking the dog, Brandon enjoys sports, music, and exercise.


Program Manager

Elfonzo is a retired Army Major who is originally from Kansas City, KS. He is the Program Manager for our two largest programs: Graduate Education Advancement Center (GEAC) & ITOPS Transformation Support Services Programs. He is a decorated Army veteran who served 24 years and received the Bronze Star Medal for his efforts in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. During his military career, he served in various roles as an enlisted and military officer. As an Army Basic Training Commander, he helped reinvent the way Soldiers prepared for combat with modernization and forward thinking. From the way new trainees are integrated into training to how they retain readiness, Elfonzo along with his First Sergeant, developed TIP (Training Innovation Program)

After the military, Elfonzo took on the role as Program Manager for Education and Employment (E2I). This DOD program assists wounded, ill and injured Service members early in their recovery process to identify their skills and match them with the education and career opportunities that will help them successfully transition to civilian life.

Elfonzo holds an MBA from Trident University and is a graduate of the Army Command and General Staff College (CGSC).

Elfonzo resides in Monument, CO with his wife and two sons.


Deputy Program Manager

Mike is the Deputy Program Manager responsible for supporting 3 of our major contracts. Michael “Mike” Mazzara spent 11 years in the Army while serving in Special Operations as a weapons sergeant. After spending four tours overseas he decided it was time to spend more time with family.

Mike has his degree from Austin Peay State University majoring in Business and is currently pursing Agriculture Science.

Originally from California he resides now in Colorado Springs with his wife and 4 little ones..


Human Resource Coordinator

Danna Agha is the Business Development Coordinator for MKS2. Previously, she worked for the Naval Postgraduate School as a Multidisciplinary Coordinator across different programs supporting the Graduate School of Business and Public Policy. Her past experiences heavily involve prioritizing business development and customer service with an emphasis on bringing forth the best solutions for the company.

She graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a B.A in English Language Literature and later pursued a Masters Degree in teaching. She speaks three languages and enjoys utilizing it as much as possible professionally and casually.

She currently resides in Monterey, California where she works closely with Lisa Spence, our Director of Innovation. She enjoys painting, dancing, analog photography, researching allergens/environmental toxins as part of an alternative health book she is in the process of writing with her partner and hiking in the mountains.
