Senior Business Analyst (Software Applications Specialist I)

Location: Greenville, SC, Aiken, SC, Aliso Viejo, CA, or Houston, TX

Pay: $58/hour 


Job Summary:

The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for supporting the development, testing, deployment, and documentation of enterprise software systems. This role bridges the gap between business needs and IT solutions, working closely with stakeholders, technical teams, and project management to ensure systems meet user requirements and organizational goals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead planning, status tracking, and reporting for assigned software initiatives.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze system requirements.

  • Direct and coordinate project milestones and ensure timely task completion.

  • Support design, testing, and deployment of software solutions.

  • Maintain a strong customer focus to ensure user requirements are effectively addressed.

  • Contribute to enterprise-level software development and workflow improvements.

  • Engage in cross-functional collaboration for issue resolution and solution development.

  • Maintain accurate documentation for system requirements, standards, and procedures.

  • Stay informed of software development trends and propose process improvements.

  • Provide team updates, escalate challenges, and offer support for junior staff.

  • Promote a culture of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) in the workplace.

  • Ensure compliance with IT policies, data privacy regulations, and cybersecurity standards.

  • Support Fluor’s Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability initiatives.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Customer Business Analyst / Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Act as the key liaison between the business and IT teams.

  • Translate customer needs into actionable system requirements.

  • Oversee project scope, schedule, and stakeholder communication.

  • Support solution development and validation through effective documentation.

  • Analyze existing business processes and identify areas for optimization.

  • Coordinate installation and upgrades of software and hardware systems.

  • Apply IT best practices to ensure project quality and alignment with strategic goals.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field and at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a total of 9 years of directly related experience without a degree.

  • Strong communication skills for working with clients, technical teams, and management.

  • Ability to manage multiple applications or projects within a functional area.

  • Strong analytical, documentation, and project coordination skills.

  • Knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Familiarity with IT standards, software development lifecycles, and process optimization.


Working Conditions:

  • Standard on-site office environment in Greenville, SC.

  • May require occasional travel to project worksites, client facilities, or vendor locations.

  • Exposure to various site conditions, including mechanical equipment, elevated work areas, or airborne particles.
